Watchfield Village Hall – Charity No. 1197281 CIO

The Charity Commission has granted the Village Hall charity status of a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO).

The Trustees will need to move the assets of the Village Hall into the charity to comply with the Charity Commission’s rules.

As the Village Hall is owned by all the residents of Watchfield there will have to be a public vote to change the way the Hall is governed and to ensure that the Hall’s assets are part of the charity.

This will be especially important when we are bidding for large Grants from the main fundholders such as the National Lottery Fund to help us build a new Hall.
